Meet the Principal

Jocelyn Curtis, Newport High School Principal

Jocelyn Curtis, Principal of Newport High School, began her career in education at Central Dauphin East High School where she taught Biology and served as an assistant principal. Ms. Hess then served as an assistant principal at West York Area High School and Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School. She came to Newport High School in 2019 to serve as the principal. Ms. Hess earned her Bachelor’s in Secondary Education – Biology from York College of Pennsylvania and her Master’s in Teaching and Curriculum and Principal Certification from the Pennsylvania State University. Ms. Hess is the proud mother of two daughters, Brinley and Nixon.
